CDA currently provides funding to area not-for-profit groups which supports the purchase of medical supplies and equipment for the promotion of wellness within the Village.  The Coalition for Community Well Being is one such area nonprofit that is a free walk-in clinic for low income residents who are uninsured and  under insured.

The CDA is also working with local officials to re-open the Hempstead General Hospital
